Our Team
Bill Clifton
Bill is a career specialist in effectively and securely managing industrial fluids. After more than 20 years in the fuel industry as the owner of a Shell distribution operation for the Sydney, Central Coast, Hunter Valley, and Manning River regions of NSW, Bill purchased Banlaw in 1999.
At the time, Banlaw was a small-scale manufacturer of high-quality refuelling products. Bill saw the potential of taking his deep understanding of fuel accounting and quality and dovetailing it with best-in-class hardware products to give industrial clients total control of the high-value fluids they must use in their operations. After over 20 years at the helm of Banlaw, the organisation has evolved into an advanced manufacturing and technology company. Banlaw supplies more than 30 countries with the world’s only fully integrated fluid management software, smart fluid transfer management hardware, and built infrastructure solutions.
Bill still passionately cares about helping organisations safely, securely, and efficiently manage their industrial fluids. He leads global Banlaw operations that create emerging Industrial IoT, fluid security, tank safety, contamination avoidance, and business intelligence solutions.
Bill enjoys spending time with family and on community pursuits when outside of the office. He is a devoted father of four and is actively involved in enabling local charities, women in sport, and his beloved Hunter Wildfires Rugby Club.
