Business Development Manager Americas Region

 

The Business Development Manager for the Americas region is an exciting field sales role based out of our Salt Lake City facility. Focused upon selling fluid management hardware, software, and infrastructure projects to mining clients, you will help our customers achieve cleaner, faster, safer, liquid resource management.

About you:

You have the skills and capability to engage and interact with key stakeholders who are typically the owners of Hydraulic Hose & Fitting companies, Mine Managers, Operations Managers, Reliability Engineers, Fleet Maintenance Superintendents or Procurement Managers. You will also be expected to enable our distributor relationships both within the USA and Internationally.

You are familiar with working on mine sites, and are able to leverage your current network of mining business contacts to get onsite and discuss hydrocarbon products and services. You have some familiarity with the processes involved in managing fuels and lubricants. Exposure to fuel management, machine servicing, fuel farm deployment, or condition monitoring are all subjects where your expertise could add value.

About the position:

Banlaw is seeking to employ a suitably qualified technical sales specialist to build our business throughout North America and internationally.

This is a full time position, based at our Salt Lake City facility.

As we operate in heavy industry (mining/rail/construction/transport/agriculture) an appreciation of such environments is highly advantageous.

The company has a solid base of customers that you will continue to manage and provide with superior services and support. A key function of the role is the pursuit of new business opportunities with mining companies that have open cut operations.

The role is hands-on but well supported by a strong technical team. Ideally you will have the natural instincts to search out prospects; build business relationships; analyse customer requirements; present solutions; and complete the sales process. As the relationship lead, you will also be expected to collaborate with other Banlaw teams to support planning and deployment of projects and services, with a focus on customer satisfaction.

You will be able to demonstrate a history of developing business and marketing strategies: You will set action plans and schedules, maximise the sales potential of customers and distributors, and back that up with superior service and training when required.

 

Essential:

  • US citizen or permanent resident
  • Proven track record selling Mechanical, Electrical, or Software offerings
  • Ability to unlock customers as well as enable distributors
  • Current passport and willingness to travel
  • Team player – enables the team and collaborates to achieve more together
  • Results oriented – appetite to achieve targets; schedules, behaviours that deliver results and a company gross profit margin acceptable to the shareholders
  • Fluent in English
  • Fluent in Spanish

 

Desirable:

  • Fluent in French
  • Aptitude with Microsoft Office software (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
