Break Away Valves

PART OF BANLAW’S DRIVE-AWAY PROTECTION SOLUTION

BreakAwayValve-01-edit

Drive-aways pose the greatest risk of injury and equipment damage.

Our FuelTrack nozzle holster has an internal electronic proximity switch within the holster that detects when the refuelling nozzle is safely stored. Visual and/or audible alarms alert the vehicle operator (driver) if the refuelling nozzle is not secured to the holster and may potentially remain connected to the refuelling point of their vehicle.

In the event that a driver still drives away whilst connected, the Banlaw break-away valve (BAV) is designed to fracture at a certain stress, allowing the valve assembly to separate into 2 dry-break components. These dry-break components prevent fuel spillage from either the delivery hose attached to the offending vehicle or the remainder of the pipework downstream of the pump.

The FuelTrack BAV is designed for use with an automatic vehicle identification system.

The BAV is available in FuelTrack and non-FuelTrack versions and three different sizes.
